O músico Christopher Owens, ex-líder do grupo Girls, anunciou nesta semana através do Twitter que formará uma nova banda – depois de lançar dois discos solo após a dissolução de Girls em 2012.
Ele explica que a banda será chamada Curls e contará com mais dois músicos, Cody Rhodes e Luke Baće, que Owens conheceu em São Francisco (EUA).
Essa, porém, é a segunda banda de Christopher a ser chamada Curls (originalmente formada em 2005). A primeira acabou quando o músico teve de se mudar para São Francisco – onde o grupo nasceu novamente em 2016.
